Why do we keep reminding you to log your scores on @WODUPAPP?
Not only does it help us create your programme – in case you didn’t know, each programme is designed based off of the feedback & results of our subscribers (YOU!), meaning that all the data that we collect from you, is crucial in how we progress. and adjust each training block. BUT more importantly, logging your scores has so many great benefits for your training.
Training is a never ending journey to bettering ourselves, and at times it may be hard to ‘Trust the Process’ when the improvement is not as ‘obvious’ as we would like it to be. We often base success on unlocking new personal bests or achieving a new milestone, and as we all know, these become less and less frequent as we progress in training age. One bad training day is sometimes all it takes for us to lose sight of how much we’ve accomplished and how far we’ve come.
When writing your scores on WODUP, or wherever you choose to keep your diary, don’t just focus on the quantifiable aspects of your session, we encourage our members and subscribers to also write in the note sections more on how they felt, what they thought they did well, and what they felt like they could improve for next time – here are 3 questions you should always end your session with:
1️⃣ What was the focus for today’s session?
2️⃣ What are 3 things that I did really well today?
3️⃣ What is 1 thing that I can do better tomorrow?
Keeping a training journal/log will help you stay motivated throughout the journey, and it can bring focus and purpose to each session. It helps you find success everyday, and really is in invaluable tool to helping you stay on track to your goals.
Everyday, no matter how small, we can find the positive, and everyday is an opportunity to find ways to be better.
Next time you train, don’t forget to log in your scores, to find the win in your session, and to find a way that you will do and be better tomorrow.
